By clicking “I Agree” during sign-up, or by continuing to use the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
Kinglify (“Kinglify,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides a white-label, multi-tenant software platform for churches, ministries, schools, and NGOs (“Organisations”) to manage their communities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
Contact: info@kinglify.com
2. Two Kinds of Users, Two Roles
- Organisations (our direct customers — churches, ministries, schools, NGOs) act as the data controller for their own members’ information.
- Kinglify acts as a data processor, processing member data only on the Organisation’s behalf and instructions, as set out in our Data Processing Agreement.
- Organisation staff/admins who log into Kinglify directly are also our own users, for whom Kinglify acts as controller of their own account data.
3. What We Collect
From Organisations (account holders):
- Organisation name, contact email, contact phone, owner name
- Billing and subscription information
- Branding assets (logo, chosen colors)
From individual staff/admin users who log in:
- Name, email, phone number, title (e.g., Pastor, Reverend), date of birth, gender
- Login credentials (passwords are hashed and never visible to us)
- Usage data (login times, actions taken in the dashboard)
Member records entered by Organisations (we process this data on their behalf, not our own):
- Name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, address
- Membership details (join date, department, membership type)
- Family information where provided (marital status, spouse name, number of children)
- Pastoral notes (restricted internally to pastoral/admin roles within that Organisation only)
Children’s data: Some Organisation products (such as youth/children’s journal editions) may involve data about minors. Where an Organisation enters data about a child, the Organisation — not Kinglify — is responsible for obtaining any legally required parental/guardian consent before doing so. Organisations should not enter children’s data without such consent.
4. How We Use Data
- To provide, operate, and maintain the platform
- To process payments (via Paystack and/or Stripe)
- To communicate with Organisations about their account
- To improve and secure the platform
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use member data entered by Organisations for our own marketing purposes.
5. Who We Share Data With (Sub-processors)
We use the following third parties to operate Kinglify. Each only receives the minimum data needed for their function:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting, authentication |
| Vercel | Website/application hosting |
| Paystack / Stripe | Payment processing |
| A transactional email service provider | Sending account-related emails (e.g., confirmations, password resets, receipts) |
We do not permit these providers to use the data for their own purposes. Where we engage a named transactional email provider, this Policy and our Data Processing Agreement will be updated to identify it.
6. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as an Organisation’s account is active. Upon account deletion, an Organisation’s data (including its members’ records) is permanently deleted, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., financial/billing records for tax purposes).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Organisation staff/admins should contact us directly at info@kinglify.com. Individual church members should contact their Organisation directly, since the Organisation controls that data — we will assist the Organisation in fulfilling such requests.
8. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) may process and store data in data centers located outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we require our providers to maintain industry-standard security and confidentiality protections. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer as necessary for us to provide the service to you.
9. Security
We implement technical measures including encrypted connections, database-level access controls (Row Level Security ensuring one Organisation can never access another’s data), and hashed passwords. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Organisation account holders.
